Oracle Parks & Gardens
Biosphere 2, a non-profit educational research affiliate of Columbeia University, is a living ecosystem consisting of five biomes, constructed to see how our world works.Tours are conducted every sixty minutes. Conference facilities and accommodation are available on site. This facility is located a short drive from Tucson.
A 4,000 acre environmental education park with approximately 15 miles of hiking trails. The park has picnic areas and access to the Arizona Trail (which is open for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding). The purpose of the park is to act as a wildlife refuge and educational learning center.
This desert park offers camping, hiking, picnicking, bicycling, horseback riding, plant and wildlife viewing, and an archaeological site, all just a few minutes from Tucson. Catalina State Park is located within Coronado National Forest, and is managed by Arizona State Parks in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service. The park encompasses 5,493 acres at elevations near 3,000 feet.
